**NOTE: This process can only be done directly on the NVR, it cannot be done remotely via Web or App.**
When a user has forgotten the ‘admin’ user password on their NVR there are two options available to them for resetting the password, both are accessed from the ‘Restore password’ button located on the Login dialogue. Selecting the button brings up the ‘Restore Password’ dialogue. This dialogue gives two options across the top, ‘Question’ and ‘Dynamic Password’ highlighted in blue below.
DYNAMIC PASSWORD: If you don’t know the answer to any of the security questions then you need to select the dynamic password tab at the top and the dialogue will change ; It is critical to pay attention to the warning note in red “Please keep this page open until receiving new password”, if the dialogue is closed before you receive the dynamic password from Support then you will have to start the process below over.

To reset the password using this option the process is:
1. Take a photo of the above dialogue
2. Please reply to the email with this clear photo, you may also be required to provide Proof of Purchase and Identification.
3. You will receive a response that includes the dynamic password that you will need to enter to the “Dynamic Password” box.
4. Depending on the firmware in the NVR you will either be shown a dialogue stating the password has been reset and what it has been reset to (eg 123456), or a dialogue requiring you to enter a new password and confirm it. Once the password has been reset using either method, you can log in as admin using the new password.
